If you are doing a video interview on an iPad or iPhone, you will need to install the free Tazio app from the App Store. From your device, open the App Store and search 'Tazio'.
The app is very reliable and should just work, however, there are a couple of issues you may encounter.
Access code not recognised
When you first open the app you will be asked to 'Enter Interview Code'. This should be included in your invitation email. It will look something like this:
If you do not enter the code in this format it will not be recognised.
Your video answers are cut off short
The app saves your video answer on the device, before uploading the video file to the Tazio servers once you've finished recording your answer.
If the app only lets you record a couple of seconds of video before moving on to the next question, then it is likely you do not have enough storage available.
To check the available storage, click on the 'Settings' icon, scroll down and click on 'General'. From here, click on 'Storage & iCloud Usage' and under Storage you will see 'Used' and 'Available'.
We recommend you have at least 50MB of available storage to ensure you can record your video answers without problems.
Unable to Access to Camera or Microphone
When you first login to the app after entering your name, email address and password, you will be asked to 'Take Profile Picture'. The first time you use the app it will ask you to allow access to your camera. If you click no, or this doesn't appear, you will be unable to continue.
Once you've saved your Profile Picture, when you start the interview you will be asked to allow access to your microphone. If you click no, or this doesn't appear, you will be unable to continue.
In either case, go to 'Settings' and type 'Tazio' into the search bar at the top of the screen. This should show the Tazio app icon. Click on the icon and use the buttons to allow Tazio to access your Camera and your Microphone.
If the Tazio app does not appear in the list, restart your iPhone or iPad and try again.
